They said I sounded clearer with it on than off (even with the car AC on high). I have never had much luck with cell phone headsets - either I can't hear or the person I am speaking to cannot hear me. It can be a little uncomfortable after a while, but I am willing to live with that given the big improvement in sound quality. I can also hear much better with it plugged in than without (no more shouting). I spent a little more than I wanted to on this hoping it would work and it does. The proof came when I plugged it in mid-conversation and my caller wanted to know if I had disconnected my headset.
The volume feature and answer/hang up button are a great convenience. It sounds loud and clear. It takes a little getting used to, but is moderately comfortable.
Pretty disappointing :( It took me two weeks to get, only to discover that the info provided here was not right. This model does not support Nokia 6600, which is why I gave it a three stars. I have nothing to say about the product, since I am returning it.
He claims that it is just as quiet as when I am setting in my office.I need Plantronics to make this to fit the 3650 and the 3595 Series phones. For some reason we talk longer and he is not in such a rush to get off the phone with me. I will buy more. My boss always complained before when I was driving down the road talking to him. Now that I have the MX510-N3 Windsmart Boom Headset he has to ask me "Are you driving." he can't believe how much road noise is cancelled with this headset.
I poked around Amazon and found this great Plantronics headset that not only uses "voice tube" technology to cut down on external wind noise, but comes with two different leghths of tube. Not everyone has the same sized/shaped head so it's helpful to have a choice and the rotating earpiece fits comfortably in any ear. I LOVE this headset. I love having options. It wasn't in the description, but this headset also features a one-button pick-up/hang-up, volume control and a mute button. I used to constantly get complaints from friends because they couldn't hear me clearly. I would often find myself holding my headset closer to my mouth just to be heard which really eliminated the "hands free" feature on my old headset.
